About the Photographer
Growing up, I never went anywhere without a camera. I tried to capture every memory possible, and in many cases, I scrap-booked those pictures into albums that I still have today. I always knew that I would have a career in a creative media field. In college (University of Delaware), I studied mass media communication and played an active role in the campus TV station. After college I gained a career as a Field Merchandiser for several large fashion companies. While working my regular nine-to-five job I did some side work as a wedding videographer. When my son was born in 2012, my interests shifted to photography. Over the years I have invested in many classes, workshops and training sessions to grow in this industry that I love.
Though I lived in Boston for 10 years, I am native to Connecticut and I moved back to the area with my husband and son in 2012. As a means of meeting new people I started a playgroup that grew to having about 30 families. For fun, I offered seasonal photography sessions to the members of the group. Members began asking me to do private shoots of families and infants. My hobby quickly turned into a business and I am loving every second of it.
I am a stay-at-home mom of a son and daughter. I frequently share images of them as they tend to be my test models for session ideas. I've been married to my husband since October of 2010. He is my best friend and biggest supporter. So much so that if you have booked a session with me in the past, you have probably met him. He frequently assists during my sessions by lugging gear and holding up equipment. My family is my world and I am lucky that they support my photography passion.
As a photographer, my goal is to provide timeless beautiful images for clients to enjoy for many years. I strive to give each client a professional and fun experience and I do my best to capture the dynamics and personalities of all the subjects involved. If my services sound like what you are looking for, I would love to discuss your photography needs with you.
Thank you for your interest in SLB Photography. I look forward to hearing from you.
